The First Raid |
The Morning of the 19th of February, 1942 was the start of the war at home. It all started that morning when the Japanese decided to bomb Darwin. The Japanese sent out 188 aircraft's from there 4 aircraft's carries they had. All of the 188 aircraft's where launched by 8:45am. The carriers objective was to attack the ships in Darwin Harbour and also the towns port facility's . The First wave of planes left around 10:40am

The Second Raid |
The second wave came about midday, the two aircraft's arrived at the same time and dropped the bombs at the same time then turned away. Then the Japanese made their second attack at the base.
